Community Project – India, Hosur

Modtec Community project in India with Mr Rajendiran, MD of Premier Sealing Products in Hosur.

Govt School for Boys Hosur, Tamil Nadu, India in 2011 for 450 boys.

Project 1  2011

Introduced a project “Save Mother Earth“ encouraging children to plant trees for oxygen and shelter. Modtec MD planted 4 large trees for shelter.

Project 2  2012

Selected 2 boys to represent the school/state, in the India championships for athletics and fencing.  The boy selected for athletics became the fastest 15 yr old in India.

Modtec provided 1000 sets of writing materials, 40 school uniforms, and sports equipment.

Project 3   2015

950 boys 86 girls.

Selected 3 boys for scholarship to study in NZ.

Built a canteen for shelter and healthy eating for 400 children.

Project 4   2016

Approval to facilitate Shri Krishnan Memorial IT facility to teach 1000 children per year how to use the internet and computers.

India Rotary

Modtec Community project in India with Rotary

2011 to 2016

Govt School for Girls Cochin, Kerala, India.

A joint project with Modtec , the Rotary Club of Orewa in NZ , the Rotary Club of Cochin in Kerala, and the Rotary Foundation.

This joint venture purchased a bus to enable 45 girls from the rural areas in Cochin to be the first children in their family to go to school. This project has now enabled over 70000 days of education to these girls.
